Square Disc Award
A popular addition to the 2025 Aussie Masters was the revival of the Square Disc Award, now set to become an annual tradition.
The Square Disc Award celebrates what is hoped will become a tradition of the Aussie Masters—recognising that while competition matters, so too does the humour, camaraderie and memorable moments that make the event special.
Revived (and crafted) in 2025 by Brian Vanallen and Mark Powers, this tongue-in-cheek “award nobody wants to win (but everyone secretly does)” is presented for the most amusing misadventure, unfortunate break, or unforgettable moment of disc golf misfortune across the tournament weekend.

In what was apparently a very close vote, the event TD’s earned the ‘honour’ for initially publishing a tee time of 4am in the morning.
